Supplications for ablution and purification

Before Wudu

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

Bismillah

In the name of Allah.

Abu Dawud 1:73, At-Tirmidhi 1:5

After Wudu

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh

I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.

Sahih Muslim 1:234

Complete After-Wudu Dua

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Allahumma-j'alni minat-tawwabina waj'alni minal-mutatahhirin

O Allah, make me among those who repent and make me among those who purify themselves.

At-Tirmidhi 1:78

When Putting On Clothes

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

Alhamdu lillahilladhi kasani hadha wa razaqanihi min ghayri hawlin minni wa la quwwah

All praise is for Allah who clothed me with this and provided it for me without any might or power from myself.

Abu Dawud 4:41, At-Tirmidhi 5:521

When Undressing
