حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عنها عَنِ الْبَدَاوَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْدُو إِلَى هَذِهِ التِّلَاعِ وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ الْبَدَاوَةَ مَرَّةً فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ نَاقَةً مُحَرَّمَةً مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَائِشَةُ ارْفُقِي فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا زَانَهُ وَلَا نُزِعَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا شَانَهُ .

Urdu Translation

میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے صحراء و بیابان ( میں زندگی گزارنے ) کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا :رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ان ٹیلوں پر جایا کرتے تھے، آپ نے ایک بار صحراء میں جانے کا ارادہ کیا تو میرے پاس صدقہ کے اونٹوں میں سے ایک اونٹ بھیجا جس پر سواری نہیں ہوئی تھی، اور مجھ سے فرمایا: عائشہ! اس کے ساتھ نرمی کرنا کیونکہ جس چیز میں بھی نرمی ہوتی ہے وہ اسے عمدہ اور خوبصورت بنا دیتی ہے، اور جس چیز سے بھی نرمی چھین لی جائے تو وہ اسے عیب دار کر دیتی ہے ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

I asked Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا about settling in the desert (to worship Allah in loneliness). She said “The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم would go out (from Madina) to these torrential streams. Once he intended to go out to the desert (for worshipping Allaah). He sent me a She-Camel from the Camels of sadaqah that was not used as a mount. He said to me “Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا be lenient, for leniency makes a thing decorated and when it is removed from a thing it makes it defective.
