ہم سے احمد بن عمرو بن سرح نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابن وہب نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے عبدالرحمٰن بن زیاد نے بیان کیا، وہ عبدالرحمٰن بن رافع التنوخی کی سند سے, عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْروِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ التَّنُوخِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الْعِلْمُ ثَلَاثَةٌ وَمَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ فَضْلٌ آيَةٌ مُحْكَمَةٌ، أَوْ سُنَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ، أَوْ فَرِيضَةٌ عَادِلَةٌ .
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :( اصل ) علم تین ہیں اور ان کے علاوہ علوم کی حیثیت فضل ( زائد ) کی ہے: آیت محکمہ ، یا سنت قائمہ ، یا فریضہ عادلہ ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Knowledge has three categories; anything else is extra; a precise verse, or an established sunnah (practice), or a firm obligatory duty.
