ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے اسود بن قیس سے، انہوں نے نوبیح کی سند سے, جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: كُنَّا حَمَلْنَا الْقَتْلَى يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ لِنَدْفِنَهُمْ، فَجَاءَ مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَدْفِنُوا الْقَتْلَى فِي مَضَاجِعِهِمْ، فَرَدَدْنَاهُمْ .
Urdu Translation
غزوہ احد کے روز ہم نے مقتولین کو کسی اور جگہ لے جا کر دفن کرنے کے لیے اٹھایا ہی تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے منادی نے آ کر اعلان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم حکم فرماتے ہیں کہ مقتولین کو ان کی مضاجع شہادت گاہوں میں دفن کرو، تو ہم نے ان کو انہیں کی جگہوں پر لوٹا دیا۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
On the day of Uhud we brought the martyrs to bury them (at another place), but the crier of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم came and said: The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم has commanded you to bury the martyrs at the place where they fell. So we took them back.
