ہم سے محمود بن خالد الدمشقی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے مروان نے بیان کیا، علی بن حوشب کہتے ہیں کہ

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَأَلْتُ مَكْحُولًا عَنْ هَذَا الْقَوْلِ:‏‏‏‏ غَسَّلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ غَسَّلَ رَأْسَهُ وَغَسَلَ جَسَدَهُ .

Urdu Translation

اردو

میں نے مکحول سے اس قول غسل واغتسل کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا :اس کا مطلب ہے کہ وہ اپنا سر اور بدن دھوئے۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Makhul was asked about the meaning of words ghassala and ightasala (that occur in tradition 345) and he said: one should was one's head and body well (and not than one should makes one's wife wash).
