ہم سے نصر بن علی اور عبید اللہ بن عمر الجشمی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے خالد بن حارث نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے سعید نے بیان کیا، ان سے نصر بن ابی عروبہ نے کہا: ہم سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا: ابو نحیک نے, عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْجُشَمِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ نَصْرٌ ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ،عَنْ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: مَنِ اسْتَعَاذَ بِاللَّهِ فَأَعِيذُوهُ، وَمَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ بِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ فَأَعْطُوهُ ، قال عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ: مَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ بِاللَّهِ.
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :جو شخص اللہ کے واسطے سے پناہ مانگے اسے پناہ دو، اور جو شخص لوجہ اللہ ( اللہ کی رضا و خوشنودی کا حوالہ دے کر ) سوال کرے تو اس کو دو ۔ عبیداللہ کی روایت میں من سألكم لوجه الله کے بجائے من سألكم بالله ہے۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: If anyone asks (you) for refuge for the sake of Allah, give him refuge; and if anyone asks you (for something) for the pleasure of Allah, give him. Ubaydullah said: If anyone asks you for the sake of Allah.
