ہم سے یحییٰ بن معین نے بیان کیا، ہم سے وکیع نے بیان کیا، ان سے زکریا بن ابی زیدہ نے، مصعب بن شیبہ کی سند سے، طلق بن حبیب سے، ابن الزبیر کی سند سے, ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ طَلْقِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: عَشْرٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ: قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ، وَإِعْفَاءُ اللِّحْيَةِ، وَالسِّوَاكُ، وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقُ بِالْمَاءِ، وَقَصُّ الْأَظْفَارِ، وَغَسْلُ الْبَرَاجِمِ، وَنَتْفُ الْإِبِطِ، وَحَلْقُ الْعَانَةِ، وَانْتِقَاصُ الْمَاءِ يَعْنِي الِاسْتِنْجَاءَ بِالْمَاءِ ، قَالَ زَكَرِيَّا: قَالَ مُصْعَبٌ: وَنَسِيتُ الْعَاشِرَةَ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ الْمَضْمَضَةَ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: Ten are the acts according to fitrah (nature): clipping the moustache, letting the beard grow, using the tooth-stick, cutting the nails, washing the finger joints, plucking the hair under the arm-pits, shaving the pubes, and cleansing one's private parts (after easing or urinating) with water. The narrator said: I have forgotten the tenth, but it may have been rinsing the mouth.
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: دس چیزیں دین فطرت ہیں ۱؎: ۱- مونچھیں کاٹنا، ۲- داڑھی بڑھانا، ۳- مسواک کرنا، ۴- ناک میں پانی ڈالنا، ۵- ناخن کاٹنا، ۶- انگلیوں کے جوڑوں کو دھونا، ۷- بغل کے بال اکھیڑنا، ۸- ناف کے نیچے کے بال مونڈنا ۲؎، ۹ - پانی سے استنجاء کرنا ۔ زکریا کہتے ہیں: مصعب نے کہا: میں دسویں چیز بھول گیا، شاید کلی کرنا ہو۔

Narrated Mughirah ibn Shubah:
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ الْمَذْهَبَ أَبْعَدَ .
When the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم went (outside) to relieve himself, he went to a far-off place.
Another tradition on the authority of Anas has:
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي السَّدُوسِيَّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ هُوَ ابْنُ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ، وَقَالَ شُعْبَةُ: وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ، وقَالَ وُهَيْبٌ: عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، فَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللهِ.
O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee. Shubah said: Anas sometimes reported the words: I take refuge in Allah.
Narrated Zayd Ibn Arqam:
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحُشُوشَ مُحْتَضَرَةٌ، فَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْخَلَاءَ، فَلْيَقُلْ: أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ.
The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: These privies are frequented by the jinns and devils. So when anyone amongst you goes there, he should say: I seek refuge in Allah from male and female devils.
Narrated Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ :
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْوَالِدِ، أُعَلِّمُكُمْ، فَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَائِطَ، فَلا يَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ وَلا يَسْتَدْبِرْهَا وَلَا يَسْتَطِبْ بِيَمِينِهِ، وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الرَّوْثِ وَالرِّمَّةِ.
The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying: I am like father to you. When any of you goes to privy, he should not face or turn his back towards the qiblah. He should not cleanse with his right hand. He (the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) also commanded the Muslims to use three stones and forbade them to use dung or decayed bone.
