حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ خَيْرٌ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْجِهَادُ سَنَامُ الْعَمَلِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Urdu Translation

اردو

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا :کون سا عمل افضل ہے، یا کون سا عمل سب سے بہتر ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لانا، پوچھا گیا: پھر کون؟ آپ نے فرمایا: جہاد، وہ نیکی کا کوہان ہے۔ پوچھا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! پھر کون؟ آپ نے فرمایا: حج مبرور ( مقبول ) ۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کے واسطے سے مرفوع طریقہ سے کئی سندوں سے آئی ہے۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: 'Which deed is the most virtuos ? And which deed is the best ?' He (ﷺ) said: 'Faith in Allah and His Messenger.' It was said: 'Then what ?' He said: 'Jihad is the hump (the most prominent) of the deeds.' Then what O Messenger of Allah ? He said: 'Then Hajj Mabrur.' [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, it has been reported through other routes from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet (ﷺ).
