Narrated by: It was narrated from ‘Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ that:
ہم سے نصر بن علی الجہضمی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا: ہم سے اسحاق بن یوسف نے العوام بن حوشب کی سند سے، عمر بن الخطاب کے آزاد کردہ غلام ابو محمد سے اور ابو عبیدہ کی سند سے بیان کیا, عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ قَدَّمَ ثَلَاثَةً مِنَ الْوَلَدِ لَمْ يَبْلُغُوا الْحِنْثَ كَانُوا لَهُ حِصْنًا حَصِينًا مِنَ النَّارِ ، فَقَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ: قَدَّمْتُ اثْنَيْنِ، قَالَ: وَاثْنَيْنِ ، فَقَالَ أُبَيُّ بْنُ أَبُو المُنْذرِ كَعْبٍ سَيِّدُ الْقُرَّاءِ قَدَّمْتُ وَاحِدًا، قَالَ: وَوَاحِدًا .
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever sends fourth three of his children who had not reached the age of puberty, they will be a strong fortification for him against the Fire.” Abu Dharr رضی اللہ عنہ said: “I sent forth two.” He said: “And two” Ubayy bin Ka’b, the chief of the reciters, said: “I sent forth one.” He said: “Even one.”
Urdu Translation
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس شخص نے تین نابالغ بچے آگے بھیجے، تو وہ اس کے لیے جہنم سے بچاؤ کا مضبوط قلعہ ہوں گے ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں نے دو بچے آگے بھیجے ہیں، آپ نے فرمایا: اور دو بھی ، پھر قاریوں کے سردار ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں نے تو ایک ہی آگے بھیجا ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اور ایک بھی ۔

It was narrated that ‘Ali رضی اللہ عنہ said that:
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ سِتَّةٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ: يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ، وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ، وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ، وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ، وَيَتْبَعُ جِنَازَتَهُ إِذَا مَاتَ، وَيُحِبُّ لَهُ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ .
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim has six courtesies due from the Muslim: He should greet him with Salam when he meets him; he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should answer [by Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al- Hamdulillah); he should visit him if he falls sick; he should follow his funeral if he dies; and he should love for him what he loves for himself.”
It was narrated from Abu Mas’ud رضی اللہ عنہ that:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ أَفْلَحَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ أَرْبَعُ خِلَالٍ: يُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ، وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ، وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا مَاتَ، وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ .
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The Muslim has four things due from the Muslim: He should answer [by saying Yarhamuk-Allah (may Allah have mercy on you)] to him if he sneezes (and says Al-Hamdulillah); he should accept his invitation if he invites him; he should attend his funeral if he dies; and he should visit him if he falls sick.”
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah رضی اللہ عنہ that:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: خَمْسٌ مِنْ حَقِّ الْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ: رَدُّ التَّحِيَّةِ، وَإِجَابَةُ الدَّعْوَةِ، وَشُهُودُ الْجِنَازَةِ، وَعِيَادَةُ الْمَرِيضِ، وَتَشْمِيتُ الْعَاطِسِ إِذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ .
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Five are the rights of the Muslim: Returning his greeting, accepting his invitation; attending his funeral; visiting the sich; and answering (saying Yarhamuk-Allah) to the one who sneezes, if he praises Allah (says Al-Hamdu Lillah).”
Jabir bin ‘Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہما said:
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: عَادَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاشِيًا، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَأَنَا فِي بَنِي سَلَمَةَ .
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came walking to visit me (when I was sick), as did Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ , when I was with Banu Salimah.
