Narrated by It was narrated from Mundhir bin Jarir رضی اللہ عنہ that his father said:
ہم سے محمد بن عبد الملک بن ابی الشواریب نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے ابو عوانہ نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے عبد الملک بن عمیر نے منذر بن جریر رضی اللہ عنہ سے اپنے والد کی سند سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا، كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا وَمِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا، وَمَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا، كَانَ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهَا وَوِزْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا .
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :جس نے کوئی اچھا طریقہ ایجاد کیا اور اس پر لوگوں نے عمل کیا تو اسے اس کے ( عمل ) کا اجر و ثواب ملے گا، اور اس پر جو لوگ عمل کریں ان کے اجر کے برابر بھی اسے اجر ملتا رہے گا، اس سے ان عمل کرنے والوں کے ثواب میں کوئی کمی نہ ہو گی، اور جس نے کوئی برا طریقہ ایجاد کیا اس پر اور لوگوں نے عمل کیا تو اس کے اوپر اس کا گناہ ہو گا، اور اس پر عمل کرنے والوں کا گناہ بھی اسی پر ہو گا، اور ان کے گناہوں میں کوئی کمی نہیں ہو گی ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever introduces a good practice that is followed, he will receive its reward and a reward equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their reward in their slightest. And whoever introduces a bad practice that is followed, he will receive its sin and a burden of sin equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their burden in the slightest.'
