ہم سے ابراہیم بن سعید الجوہری نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن علیہ نے بیان کیا، ہم سے محمد بن سائب بن برکہ نے اپنی والدہ سے بیان کیا, ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ بْنِ بَرَكَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَخَذَ أَهْلَهُ الْوَعْكُ أَمَرَ بِالْحَسَاءِ، قَالَتْ: وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: إِنَّهُ لَيَرْتُو فُؤَادَ الْحَزِينِ، وَيَسْرُو عَنْ فُؤَادِ السَّقِيمِ، كَمَا تَسْرُو إِحْدَاكُنَّ الْوَسَخَ عَنْ وَجْهِهَا بِالْمَاءِ .
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے گھر والوں کو جب بخار آتا تو آپ حریرہ کھانے کا حکم دیتے، اور فرماتے :یہ غمگین کے دل کو سنبھالتا ہے، اور بیمار کے دل سے اسی طرح رنج و غم دور کر دیتا ہے جس طرح کہ تم میں سے کوئی عورت اپنے چہرے سے میل کو پانی سے دور کر دیتی ہے ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
“If any of his family members became ill, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would order that some broth be made. And he would say: ‘It consoles the grieving heart and cleanses the ailing heart, as anyone of you cleanses her face of dirt with water.’”
