Narrated by: Ibrahim bin Jarir رضی اللہ عنہ narrated from his father that:
ہم سے محمد بن یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، ہم سے ابو نعیم نے بیان کیا، ہم سے ابان بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا، مجھ سے ابراہیم بن جریر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے والد سے بیان کیا
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْغَيْضَةَ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ، فَأَتَاهُ جَرِيرٌ بِإِدَاوَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَاسْتَنْجَى مِنْهَا، وَمَسَحَ يَدَهُ بِالتُّرَابِ .
English Translation
The Prophet of Allah entered a thicket and relieved himself, then Jarir رضی اللہ عنہ brought him a small water skin from which he cleansed himself, then he wiped his hand in the dirt.
Urdu Translation
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم درختوں کی ایک جھاڑی میں داخل ہوئے، اور قضائے حاجت کی، جریر رضی اللہ عنہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس پانی کا ایک برتن لے کر آئے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے استنجاء کیا، اور اپنا ہاتھ مٹی سے رگڑ کر دھویا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَيْحَانَةَ، عَنْ سَفِينَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ، وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ .

It was narrated that 'Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا said:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ، وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ .

It was narrated from Jabir رضی اللہ عنہ that:
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ، وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ .

Abdullah bin Muhammed bin 'Aqil bin Abu Talib رضی اللہ عنہ narrated from his father that his grandfather said:
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَبَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ مُدٌّ، وَمِنَ الْغُسْلِ صَاعٌ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: لَا يُجْزِئُنَا، فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَانَ يُجْزِئُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ، وَأَكْثَرُ شَعَرًا ، يَعْنِي: النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.' He (the narrator) said: It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair meaning the Prophet.
