Narrated by It was narrated that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami رضی اللہ عنہ said:

ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے یحییٰ بن سعید نے، عوف بن ابی جمیلہ سے، سیار بن سلمہ سے، ابوبرزہ اسلمی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَيَّارِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الْهَجِيرِ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا الظُّهْرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذَا دَحَضَتِ الشَّمْسُ .

Urdu Translation

اردو

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دوپہر کی نماز جس کو تم ظہر کہتے ہو اس وقت پڑھتے تھے جب سورج ڈھل جاتا۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

The Prophet used to pray the Hajir prayer, which you call 'Zuhr', when the sun had passed its zenith.
