Narrated by Narrated Abdullah bin Umer رضی اللہ عنہما :

اور عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے نافع سے بیان کیا کہ

النص العربي

وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَزَلَ عِنْدَ سَرَحَاتٍ عَنْ يَسَارِ الطَّرِيقِ، فِي مَسِيلٍ دُونَ هَرْشَى، ذَلِكَ الْمَسِيلُ لاَصِقٌ بِكُرَاعِ هَرْشَى، بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الطَّرِيقِ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ غَلْوَةٍ، وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي إِلَى سَرْحَةٍ، هِيَ أَقْرَبُ السَّرَحَاتِ إِلَى الطَّرِيقِ وَهْىَ أَطْوَلُهُنَّ‏.‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے راستے کے بائیں طرف ان گھنے درختوں کے پاس قیام فرمایا جو ہرشی پہاڑ کے نزدیک نشیب میں ہیں ۔ یہ ڈھلوان جگہ ہرشی کے ایک کنارے سے ملی ہوئی ہے ۔ یہاں سے عام راستہ تک پہنچنے کے لیے تیر کی مار کا فاصلہ ہے ۔ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما اس بڑے درخت کی طرف نماز پڑھتے تھے جو ان تمام درختوں میں راستے سے سب سے زیادہ نزدیک ہے اور سب سے لمبا درخت بھی یہی ہے ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Allah's Apostle ﷺ would dismount near those colossal trees which are on the left side of the way and are connected with the pass near to Harsha (a mountain : Irfan) and this distance from the way is within an arrow's range. And Hadrat Abdullah bin Umer رضی اللہ عنہما would perform the prayer in the direction of that tree which was the nearest to the way and the tallest one.
