ہم سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا ، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ قطان نے بیان کیا ، ان سے اسماعیل بن ابی خالد نے بیان کیا ، ان سے قیس بن ابی حازم نے بیان کیا ، کہاکہ

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ خَبَّابًا وَقَدِ اكْتَوَى سَبْعًا فِي بَطْنِهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ لَوْلاَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَانَا أَنْ نَدْعُوَ بِالْمَوْتِ لَدَعَوْتُ بِهِ‏.‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

میں خباب بن ارت رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا انہوں نے اپنے پیٹ پر سات داغ لگوا رکھے تھے ، میں نے سنا کہ وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ اگر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں موت کی دعا کرنے سے منع نہ کیا ہوتا تو میں اس کی ضرور دعا کر لیتا ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

I came to Khabbab رضی اللہ عنہ who had been branded with seven brands over his `Abdomen, and I heard him saying, "If the Prophet: had not forbidden us to invoke (Allah) for death, I would have invoked Allah for it."
