ہم سے عبدان نے بیان کیا ، ان سے ابوحمزہ نے بیان کیا ، ان سے اعمش نے ، ان سے شقیق بن سلمہ نے کہ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي مُوسَى وَعَمَّارٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ مَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِكَ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ لَوْ شِئْتُ لَقُلْتُ فِيهِ غَيْرَكَ، وَمَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ شَيْئًا مُنْذُ صَحِبْتَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْيَبَ عِنْدِي مِنِ اسْتِسْرَاعِكَ فِي هَذَا الأَمْرِ. قَالَ عَمَّارٌ يَا أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَمَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ وَلاَ مِنْ صَاحِبِكَ هَذَا شَيْئًا مُنْذُ صَحِبْتُمَا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْيَبَ عِنْدِي مِنْ إِبْطَائِكُمَا فِي هَذَا الأَمْرِ. فَقَالَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ وَكَانَ مُوسِرًا يَا غُلاَمُ هَاتِ حُلَّتَيْنِ. فَأَعْطَى إِحْدَاهُمَا أَبَا مُوسَى وَالأُخْرَى عَمَّارًا وَقَالَ رُوحَا فِيهِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ.
English Translation
I was sitting with Abu Mas`ud and Abu Musa and `Ammar. Abu Mas`ud رضی اللہ عنہم said (to `Ammar رضی اللہ عنہ ), "There is none of your companions but, if I wish, I could find fault with him except with you. Since you joined the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) I have never seen anything done by you more criticizable by me than your haste in this issue." `Ammar رضی اللہ عنہ said, "O Abu Mas`ud! I have never seen anything done by you or by this companion of yours (i.e., Abu Musa رضی اللہ عنہ ) more criticizable by me than your keeping away from this issue since the time you both joined the company of the Prophet." Then Abu Mas`ud رضی اللہ عنہ who was a rich man, said (to his servant), "O boy! Bring two suits." Then he gave one to Abu Musa رضی اللہ عنہ and the other to `Ammar رضی اللہ عنہ and said (to them), "Put on these suits before going for the Friday prayer."
Urdu Translation
میں ابومسعود ، ابوموسیٰ اور عمار رضی اللہ عنہم کے ساتھ بیٹھا ہوا تھا ۔ ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے عمار رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا ہمارے ساتھ والے جتنے لوگ ہیں میں اگر چاہوں تو تمہارے سوا ان میں سے ہر ایک کا کچھ نہ کچھ عیب بیان کر سکتا ہوں ۔ ( لیکن تم ایک بے عیب ہو ) اور جب سے تم نے آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی صحبت اختیار کی ، میں نے کوئی عیب کا کام تمہارا نہیں دیکھا ۔ ایک یہی عیب کا کام دیکھتا ہوں ، تم اس دور میں یعنی لوگوں کو جنگ کے لیے اٹھانے میں جلدی کرہے ہو ۔ عمار رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ تم سے اور تمہارے ساتھی ابوموسیٰ اشعری سے جب سے تم دونوں نے آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی صحبت اختیار کی ہے میں نے کوئی عیب کا کام اس سے زیادہ نہیں دیکھا جو تم دونوں اس کام میں دیر کر رہے ہو ۔ اس پر ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا اور وہ مالدار آدمی تھے کہ غلام ! دو حلے لاؤ ۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے ایک حلہ ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیا اور دوسرا عمار رضی اللہ عنہ کو اور کہا کہ آپ دونوں بھائی کپڑے پہن کر جمعہ پڑھنے چلیں ۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ قَالَتْ أَسْمَاءُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَنَا عَلَى، حَوْضِي أَنْتَظِرُ مَنْ يَرِدُ عَلَىَّ، فَيُؤْخَذُ بِنَاسٍ مِنْ دُونِي فَأَقُولُ أُمَّتِي. فَيَقُولُ لاَ تَدْرِي، مَشَوْا عَلَى الْقَهْقَرَى ". قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ نَرْجِعَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِنَا أَوْ نُفْتَنَ.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will be at my Lake-Fount (Kauthar) waiting for whoever will come to me. Then some people will be taken away from me whereupon I will say, 'My followers!' It will be said, 'You do not know they turned Apostates as renegades (deserted their religion).'" (Ibn Abi Mulaika said, "Allah, we seek refuge with You from turning on our heels from the (Islamic) religion and from being put to trial").
Narrated `Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہما :
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، لَيُرْفَعَنَّ إِلَىَّ رِجَالٌ مِنْكُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا أَهْوَيْتُ لأُنَاوِلَهُمُ اخْتُلِجُوا دُونِي فَأَقُولُ أَىْ رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي. يَقُولُ لاَ تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ ".
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar) and some men amongst you will be brought to me, and when I will try to hand them some water, they will be pulled away from me by force whereupon I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' Then the Almighty will say, 'You do not know what they did after you left, they introduced new things into the religion after you.'"
Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ، عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، مَنْ وَرَدَهُ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ، وَمَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ بَعْدَهُ أَبَدًا، لَيَرِدُ عَلَىَّ أَقْوَامٌ أَعْرِفُهُمْ وَيَعْرِفُونِي، ثُمَّ يُحَالُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ ".
I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar), and whoever will come to it, will drink from it, and whoever will drink from it, will never become thirsty after that. There will come to me some people whom I know and they know me, and then a barrier will be set up between me and them."
Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ ، فَمَنْ وَرَدَهُ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ ، وَمَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ بَعْدَهُ أَبَدًا ، لَيَرِدُ عَلَيَّ أَقْوَامٌ أَعْرِفُهُمْ وَيَعْرِفُونِي ، ثُمَّ يُحَالُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ ، قَالَ أَبُو حَازِمٍ : فَسَمِعَنِي النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ وَأَنَا أُحَدِّثُهُمْ هَذَا ، فَقَالَ : هَكَذَا سَمِعْتَ سَهْلًا ، فَقُلْتُ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ لَسَمِعْتُهُ يَزِيدُ فِيهِ ، قَالَ : إِنَّهُمْ مِنِّي ، فَيُقَالُ : إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا بَدَّلُوا بَعْدَكَ ، فَأَقُولُ : سُحْقًا سُحْقًا لِمَنْ بَدَّلَ بَعْدِي.
I heard the Prophet saying, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar), and whoever will come to it, will drink from it, and whoever will drink from it, will never become thirsty after that. There will come to me some people whom I know and they know me, and then a barrier will be set up between me and them." Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri رضی اللہ عنہ added that the Prophet further said: "I will say those people are from me. It will be said, 'You do not know what changes and new things they did after you.' Then I will say, 'Far removed (from mercy), far removed (from mercy), those who changed (the religion) after me!"
