حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَقَّتَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَرْنًا لأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ، وَالْجُحْفَةَ لأَهْلِ الشَّأْمِ، وَذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ لأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ‏.‏ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هَذَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ وَلأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمُ ‏"‏‏.‏ وَذُكِرَ الْعِرَاقُ فَقَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ عِرَاقٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ‏.‏

Urdu Translation

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اہل نجد کے لیے مقام قرن ‘ حجفہ کو اہل شام کے لیے اور ذوالحلیفہ کو اہل مدینہ کے لیے میقات مقرر کیا ۔ بیان کیا کہ میں نے یہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا اور مجھے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اہل یمن کے لیے یلملم ( میقات ) ہے اور عراق کا ذکر ہوا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں عراق نہیں تھا ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

"The Prophet (ﷺ) fixed Qarn as the Miqat (for assuming the Ihram) for the people of Najd, and Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham, and Dhul-Hulaifa for the people of Medina." Ibn `Umar added, "I heard this from the Prophet, and I have been informed that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'The Miqat for the Yemenites is Yalamlam.' "When Iraq was mentioned, he said, "At that time it was not a Muslim country."
