Narrated by Narrated Anas bin Malik رضی اللہ عنہ :

ہم سے خلاد بن یحییٰ نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عیسیٰ بن طہمان نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ‘ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ فِي زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ وَأَطْعَمَ عَلَيْهَا يَوْمَئِذٍ خُبْزًا وَلَحْمًا وَكَانَتْ تَفْخَرُ عَلَى نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَانَتْ تَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْكَحَنِي فِي السَّمَاءِ‏.‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

پردہ کی آیت ام المؤمنین زینب بن جحش رضی اللہ عنہا کے بار ے میں نازل ہوئی اور اس دن آپ نے روٹی اور گوشت کے ولیمہ کی دعوت دی اور زینب رضی اللہ عنہا تمام ازواج مطہرات پر فخر کیا کرتی تھیں اور کہتی تھیں کہ میرا نکاح اللہ نے آسمان پر کرایا تھا ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

The Verse of Al-Hijab (veiling of women) was revealed in connection with Zainab bint Jahsh رضی اللہ عنہا . (On the day of her marriage with him) the Prophet (ﷺ) gave a wedding banquet with bread and meat; and she used to boast before other wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) and used to say, "Allah married me (to the Prophet (ﷺ) in the Heavens."
