مجھ سے محمد بن عبد الرحیم نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ابوزید بن ربیع ہروی نے ‘ کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے ‘ ان سے قتادہ نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ، سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ الْهَرَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ، قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا تَقَرَّبَ الْعَبْدُ إِلَىَّ شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبْتُ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا، وَإِذَا تَقَرَّبَ مِنِّي ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ بَاعًا، وَإِذَا أَتَانِي مَشْيًا أَتَيْتُهُ هَرْوَلَةً ‏"‏‏.‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے رب سے روایت کیا کہ اللہ پاک فرماتا ہے کہ جب بندہ مجھ سے ایک بالشت قریب ہوتا ہے تو میں ایک ہاتھ اس سے قریب ہوتا ہوں اور جب بندہ مجھ سے ایک ہاتھ قریب ہوتا ہے تو میں اس سے دو ہاتھ قریب ہوتا ہوں اور جب وہ میرے پاس پیدل چل کر آتا ہے تو میں دوڑ کر آ جاتا ہوں ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "My Lord says, 'If My slave comes nearer to me for a span, I go nearer to him for a cubit; and if he comes nearer to Me for a cubit, I go nearer to him for the span of outstretched arms; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' "
