Narrated by Qutba bin Malik رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌reported:

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ قُطْبَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ وَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَرَأَ: ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ. حَتَّى قَرَأَ: {وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ} [ق: 10]. قَالَ: فَجَعَلْتُ أُرَدِّدُهَا وَلَا أَدْرِي مَا قَالَ.

Urdu Translation

اردو

میں نے نماز پڑھی اور ہمیں رسول اللہﷺ نے نماز پڑھائی ، آپ ﴿ق والقرآن المجيد﴾ پڑھی حتی کہ آپ نے ﴿والنخل باسقت﴾ ( اور کجھور کے بلند وبالا درخت ) پڑھا تو میں اس آیت کو بار بار ( ذہن میں ) دہرانے لگا اور آپ نے جو کہا مجھے اس ( کے مفہوم ) کا پتہ نہ چلا ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

I said prayer and the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) led it and he recited Qaf. (I.). By the Glorious Qur'an, till he recited and the tall palm trees (l. 10). I wanted to repeat it but I could not follow its significance.
