Narrated by Abdullah bin Aufa reported:
ہم سے محمد بن المثنیٰ اور ابن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے محمد بن جعفر نے بیان کیا،شعبہ نے عبیدبن حسن سے انہوں نے عبد اللہ بن اوفیٰ سے روایت ےکی ہے انہوں نے کہا
Arabic Text
دَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَدْعُو بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ اللهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ، مِلْءُ السَّمَاوَاتِ، وَمِلْءُ الْأَرْضِ، وَمِلْءُ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ».
Urdu Translation
رسو ل اللہ ﷺ یہ دعا مانگا کیا کرتے تھے’’اے اللہ ہمارے رب تیر ی ہی تعریف ہےآسمان اور زمین تک اور اس علاوہ جہاں تک تو چاہے اس چیز کی وسعت تک ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) used to recite this supplication: O Allah! our Lord, unto Thee be praise that would fill the heavens and the earth and fill that which will please Thee besides them.
