Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما said:
زہیر بن حرب نے کہا : ہمیں سفیان بن عیینہ نے عمرو ( بن دینار ) سے حدیث سنائی ‘ انھوں نے کہا : مجھے ابو معبد نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے اس بات کی خبر دی ‘ بعد میں ( بھول جانے کی وجہ سے ) اس سے انکار کر دیا ‘ انھوں ( ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما ) نے کہا کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي بِذَا أَبُو مَعْبَدٍ، ثُمَّ أَنْكَرَهُ بَعْدُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا نَعْرِفُ انْقِضَاءَ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ».
Urdu Translation
ہمیں رسول اللہ کی نماز ختم ہونے کا پتہ تکبیر سے چلتا ہے ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
We used to know that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) had finished his prayer when we heard the takbir (Allah-O-Akbar).
