ہم سے محمد بن اسحاق المسیبی نے بیان کیا، ان سے انس نے، یعنی مجھ سے ابن عیاض نے بیان کیا, موسیٰ بن عقبہ سے روایت ہے انھوں نے نافع سے روایت کی کہ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيِّبِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَهُ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَقْبَلَ فُرْضَتَيِ الْجَبَلِ الَّذِي بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجَبَلِ الطَّوِيلِ، نَحْوَ الْكَعْبَةِ، يَجْعَلُ الْمَسْجِدَ، الَّذِي بُنِيَ ثَمَّ، يَسَارَ الْمَسْجِدِ الَّذِي بِطَرَفِ الْأَكَمَةِ، وَمُصَلَّى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ عَلَى الْأَكَمَةِ السَّوْدَاءِ، يَدَعُ مِنَ الْأَكَمَةِ عَشَرَةَ أَذْرُعٍ أَوْ نَحْوَهَا، ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْفُرْضَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ الطَّوِيلِ، الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبةِ.

Urdu Translation

اردو

عبد اللہ ( بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ ) نے انھیں بتا یا :رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بیت اللہ کے رخ پر اس پہاڑ کی دونوں گھاٹیوں کو سامنے رکھا جو آپ کے اور لمبے پہاڑ کے در میان تھا آپ اس مسجد کو جو وہاں بنا دی گئی ہے ٹیلے کے کنا رے والی مسجد کے بائیں ہاتھ رکھتے ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز پڑھنے کی جگہ اس مسجد سے نیچے کا لے ٹیلے پر تھی ٹیلے سے تقریباً دس ہا تھ ( جگہ ) چھوڑتے پھر آپ لمبے پہاڑ کی دونوں گھاٹیوں کی جا نب رخ کر کے نماز پڑھتے وہ پہاڑ جو تمھا رے اور کعبہ کے درمیان پڑتا ہے ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Abdullah (bin 'Umar رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) informed him that Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) turned his face to the two hillocks which intervened between him and the long mountain by the side of the Ka'ba, and the mosque which had been built there was thus on the left of the hillock. Allah's Messenger's ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) place of prayer was lower than the black hillock, at a distance of ten cubits or near it. He ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) would then observe prayer facing these two hillocks of the long mountain that is intervening between you and the Ka'ba.
