Narrated by Ibn 'Umar ( رضی اللہ عنہ) reported:
ہم سے زہیر بن حرب اور محمد بن المثنی نے بیان کیا، اور یہ قول زہیر کا ہے، انہوں نے کہا: ہم سے یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، عبیداللہ نے کہا, مجھے نافع نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے خبر دی ، انہوں نے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يَبِعِ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ، وَلَا يَخْطُبْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْذَنَ لَهُ».
Urdu Translation
آپ نے فرمایا :کوئی آدمی اپنے ( مسلمان ) بھائی کی بیع پر بیع نہ کرے اور نہ اپنے ( مسلمان ) بھائی کے پیغامِ نکاح پر پیغام بھیجے ، الا یہ کہ وہ اسے اجازت دے.
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: A person should not enter into a transaction when his brother is already making a transaction and he should not make a proposal of marriage when his brother has already made a proposal except when he gives permission.
