ہم سے ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ، ابو کریب اور اسحاق بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے انہوں نے بیان کیا اور باقی دو نے کہا: وکیع نے بیان کیا۔ سفیان کی سند سے، ابن طاؤس کی سند سے، اپنے والد کی سند سے، ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ کی سند سے، انہوں نے کہا

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا، وقَالَ الْآخَرَانِ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلَا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَكْتَالَهُ»، فَقُلْتُ لِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: لِمَ؟ فَقَالَ: «أَلَا تُرَاهُمْ يَتَبَايَعُونَ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالطَّعَامُ مُرْجَأٌ»، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ: مُرْجَأٌ.

Urdu Translation

اردو

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :’’جو کھانا خریدے وہ اس کو اس وقت تک فروخت نہ کرے جب تک کہ ناپ نہ لے۔‘‘ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: کیوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: کیا تم انہیں مرگاہ میں سونے اور کھانے کا سودا کرتے ہوئے نہیں دیکھتے؟

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) as saying: He who buys food grain should not sell it, until he has weighed it (and then taken possession of it). I (Tawus) said to Ibn Abbas (رضی اللہ عنہ): Why is it so? Thereupon he said: Don't you see that they (the people) sell food grains against gold for the stipulated time. Abu Kuraib did not make any mention of the stipulated time.
