Narrated by Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہ reported:

مجھ سے عیسیٰ بن حماد المصری نے بیان کیا, لیث نے سعید بن ابی سعید سے ، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے خبر دی ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے ( ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ ) یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ

وحَدَّثَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «إِذَا زَنَتْ أَمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا، فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ، وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتْ، فَلْيَجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ، وَلَا يُثَرِّبْ عَلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ إِنْ زَنَتِ الثَّالِثَةَ، فَتَبَيَّنَ زِنَاهَا، فَلْيَبِعْهَا، وَلَوْ بِحَبْلٍ مِنْ شَعَرٍ.

Urdu Translation

اردو

میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ فرما رہے تھے :جب تم میں سے کسی کی لونڈی زنا کرے اور اس کا زنا ( کسی دلیل سے ) واضح ( ثابت ) ہو جائے تو وہ ( مالک ) اس پر حد لگائے اور اسے ملامت نہ کرتا رہے ، پھر اگر وہ زنا کرے تو اس کو حد لگائے اور اسے ملامت نہ کرتا رہے ، پھر اگر وہ تیسری بار زنا کرے اور اس کا زنا واضھ ہو جائے تو اسے فروخت کر دے ، چاہے بالوں کی ایک رسی ہی کے عوض کیوں نہ بِکے.

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

He heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: When the slave-woman of any of you commits adultery and this (offence of hers) becomes clear, she should be flogged (as the prescribed) punishment, but hurl no reproach at her. If she commits adultery again, she should (again be punished) by flogging, but hurl no reproach upon her. If she commits fornication for the third time and it becomes clear, then he should sell her, even if only for a rope of hair.
