Narrated by It has been narrated on the authority of Anas رضی اللہ عنہ :

مجھ سے یوسف بن حماد المعنی نے کہا, عبدالاعلیٰ نے ہمیں سعید ( بن ابی عروبہ ) سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے قتادہ سے اور انہوں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمَعْنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ: «أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتَبَ إِلَى كِسْرَى، وَإِلَى قَيْصَرَ، وَإِلَى النَّجَاشِيِّ، وَإِلَى كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى»، وَلَيْسَ بِالنَّجَاشِيِّ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Urdu Translation

اردو

اللہ کے نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کسریٰ ، قیصر ، نجاشی اور ہر متکبر بادشاہ کو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف بلاتے ہوئے خطوط لکھ بھیجے ، اور اس سے وہ نجاشی مراد نہیں جس کی نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز جنازہ پڑھائی ۔ ( اس کے بعد والے نجاشی کی طرف خط لکھا)

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

The Prophet of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌) wrote to Chosroes (King of Persia), Caesar (Emperor of Rome), Negus (King of Abyssinia) and every (other) despot inviting them to Allah, the Exalted. And this Negus was not the one for whom the Messenger of Allah ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) had said the funeral prayers.
