وحَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَعْوَرُ، مَوْلَى سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُجَالِدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، يَسْأَلُ، هَلْ بَايَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ؟ فَقَالَ: «لَا، وَلَكِنْ صَلَّى بِهَا، وَلَمْ يُبَايِعْ عِنْدَ شَجَرَةٍ، إِلَّا الشَّجَرَةَ الَّتِي بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ» قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: «دَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى بِئْرِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ.
English Translation
Who heard Jabir رضی اللہ عنہ being questioned as to whether the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) took the oath of fealty at Dhu'l-Hulaifa. He said: No! But he offered his prayers at that place, and he administered the oath of fealty nowhere except near the tree in (the plain oo Hudaibiya. Ibn Juraij said that he was informed by Abu Zabair who heard Jabir bin Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ say: The Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) prayed over the well at Hudaibiya (as a result of which its scanty water rose up and increased so as to be sufficient for the 1400 or 1500 men who had encamped at the place).
Urdu Translation
انہوں نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا ، ان سے سوال کیا گیا تھا : کیا نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ذوالحلیفہ میں بیعت لی تھی؟ انہوں نے کہا : نہیں ، البتہ آپ نے وہاں نماز پڑھی تھی اور حدیبیہ کے درخت کے سوا آپ نے کسی اور درخت کے نیچے بیعت نہیں لی ۔ ابن جریج نے کہا : انہیں ابوزبیر نے یہ بتایا کہ حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ یہ کہتے تھے کہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حدیبیہ کے کنویں پر دعا کی تھی.

The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: People are subservient to the Quraish: the Muslims among them being subservient to the Muslims among them, and the disbelievers among the people being subservient to the disbelievers among them.
It has been narrated on the authority of Hammam bin Munabbih who said: This is one of the traditions narrated by Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہ :
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ: هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ، مُسْلِمُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِمُسْلِمِهِمْ، وَكَافِرُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِكَافِرِهِمْ.

وحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ.
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: People are the followers of Quraish in good as well as evil (i.e. in the customs of Islamic as well as pre-Islamic times).
It has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ :
وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ اثْنَانِ.
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: The Caliphate will remain among the Quraish even if only two persons are left (on the earth),
