حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ السِّمْطِ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى.
English Translation
This tradition has been handed down on the authority of Salman al-Khair رضی اللہ عنہ through another chain of transmitters.
Urdu Translation
مجھ سے ابو الطاہر نے بیان کیا، ہم سے ابن وہب نے، عبدالرحمٰن بن شریح کی سند سے، عبدالکریم بن حارث کی سند سے, ابوعبیدہ بن عقبہ نے شرجیل بن سمط سے ، انہوں نے سلمان خیر رضی اللہ عنہ سے ، انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے ، ایوب بن موسیٰ سے لیث کی حدیث کے ہم معنی روایت کی.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ يَعْنِيَانِ الْحِزَامِيَّ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، كِلَاهُمَا، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: - وَفِي حَدِيثِ زُهَيْرٍ: يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وقَالَ عَمْرٌو: رِوَايَةً - «النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ، مُسْلِمُهُمْ لِمُسْلِمِهِمْ، وَكَافِرُهُمْ لِكَافِرِهِمْ.
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: People are subservient to the Quraish: the Muslims among them being subservient to the Muslims among them, and the disbelievers among the people being subservient to the disbelievers among them.
It has been narrated on the authority of Hammam bin Munabbih who said: This is one of the traditions narrated by Abu Huraira رضی اللہ عنہ :
وحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، قَالَ: هَذَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْهَا، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ، مُسْلِمُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِمُسْلِمِهِمْ، وَكَافِرُهُمْ تَبَعٌ لِكَافِرِهِمْ.

It has been narrated on the authority of Jabir bin 'Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ :
وحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «النَّاسُ تَبَعٌ لِقُرَيْشٍ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ.
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: People are the followers of Quraish in good as well as evil (i.e. in the customs of Islamic as well as pre-Islamic times).
It has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ :
وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ اثْنَانِ.
The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: The Caliphate will remain among the Quraish even if only two persons are left (on the earth),
