ہم سے عثمان بن ابی شیبہ اور اسحاق بن ابراہیم الحنظَلی نے بیان کیا - اسحاق نے کہا کہ ہمیں خبر دی اور عثمان نے کہا, جریر نے منصور سے ، انھوں نے ابراہیم سے ، انھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، - قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا وقَالَ عُثْمَانُ: حَدَّثَنَا - جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: «قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَبْدُرُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ، وَتَبْدُرُ يَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ» قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ: كَانُوا يَنْهَوْنَنَا، وَنَحْنُ غِلْمَانٌ، عَنِ الْعَهْدِ وَالشَّهَادَاتِ.
English Translation
It was asked from Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) who amongst the people were the best. He said: (People) of my generation, then those next to them, then those next to them, then there would come a people whose evidence would precede their oath and their oath would precede their evidence. Ibrahim said: They forbade us to make vows and bear witness when we were too young.
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سوال کیا گیا : لوگوں میں سب سے بہتر کون ہیں؟آپ نے فرمایا : "" میرے دور کے لوگ پھر وہ جو ان کے ساتھ ( کے دور میں ) ہوں گے ، پھر وہ جو ان کے ساتھ ہوں گے ، پھر ایک ایسی قوم آئے گی کہ ان کی شہادت ان کی قسم سے جلدی ہوگی اور ان کی قسم انکی شہادت سے جلدی ہوگی ۔ "" ابراہیم ( نخعی ) نے کہا : جس وقت ہم کم عمر تھے ( تو بڑی عمرکے ) لوگ ہمیں قسم کھانے اور شہادت دینے سے منع کرتے تھے ۔

حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ - قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا وقَالَ الْآخَرَانِ: حَدَّثَنَا - حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ، حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ: نَظَرْتُ إِلَى أَقْدَامِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ عَلَى رُءُوسِنَا وَنَحْنُ فِي الْغَارِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ نَظَرَ إِلَى قَدَمَيْهِ أَبْصَرَنَا تَحْتَ قَدَمَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ مَا ظَنُّكَ بِاثْنَيْنِ اللهُ ثَالِثُهُمَا».
Abu Bakr Siddiq رضی اللہ عنہ reported him thus: I saw the feet of the polytheists very close to us as we were in the cave. I said: Allah's Messenger, if one amongst them were to see at his feet he would have surely seen us. Thereupon he said: Abu Bakr, what can befall two who have Allah as the third One with them.
Abu Sa'id رضی اللہ عنہ reported:
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ: «عَبْدٌ خَيَّرَهُ اللهُ بَيْنَ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ زَهْرَةَ الدُّنْيَا وَبَيْنَ مَا عِنْدَهُ، فَاخْتَارَ مَا عِنْدَهُ» فَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَبَكَى، فَقَالَ: فَدَيْنَاكَ بِآبَائِنَا وَأُمَّهَاتِنَا، قَالَ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُوَ الْمُخَيَّرُ، وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَعْلَمَنَا بِهِ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَمَنَّ النَّاسِ عَلَيَّ فِي مَالِهِ وَصُحْبَتِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَلَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَلِيلًا، وَلَكِنْ أُخُوَّةُ الْإِسْلَامِ، لَا تُبْقَيَنَّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ خَوْخَةٌ إِلَّا خَوْخَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ».
Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) sat on the pulpit and said: Allah gave a choice to His servant that he may opt the beauties of the world or that which is with Him and the servant chose that which was with Him. Thereupon Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ wept and he wept bitterly and said: Let our fathers and our mothers be taken as ransom for you. It was Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) who had been given the choice and Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ knew it better than us, and Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) is reported to have said: Behold, of all people the most generous toward me in regard to his companionship and his property was Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ and were I to choose anyone as my bosom friend, I would have chosen Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ as my dear friend, but (for him) I cherish Islamic brotherliness and love. There shall be left open no window in the mosque except Abu Bakr's window.
It was narrated that Abu Sa'id Khudri رضی اللہ عنہ said:
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ، وَبُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ يَوْمًا، بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ.
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) addressed the people one day..." a Hadith like that of Malik (no. 6170).
Abdullah bin Mas'ud رضی اللہ عنہ reported:
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَلِيلًا، وَلَكِنَّهُ أَخِي وَصَاحِبِي، وَقَدِ اتَّخَذَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ خَلِيلًا».
Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) as saying: If I were to choose a bosom friend I would have definitely chosen Abu Bakr as my bosom friend, but he is my brother and my companion and Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. has taken your brother and companion (meaning Prophet himself) as a friend
