Narrated by It was narrated that Az-Zuhri said: As-Sa'ib bin Yazid رضی اللہ عنہ told me that:

النص العربي

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا يُونُسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي السَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا الْحَضْرَمِيَّ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لَا يَتَوَسَّدُ الْقُرْآنَ .

Urdu Translation

اردو

شریح حضرمی کا ذکر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کیا گیا تو آپ نے فرمایا :وہ قرآن کو تکیہ نہیں بناتے ۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Shuraih Al-Hadrami was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He does not sleep on the Qur'an
