Narrated by Amr bin Umayyah Ad-Damri رضی الله عنہ said:
مجھے عبدہ بن عبدالرحیم نے محمد بن شعیب کی سند سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا: ہم سے الاوزاعی نے یحییٰ کی سند سے اور ابو سلمہ کی سند سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا:عمرو بن امیہ ضمری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ

أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيُّ، قَالَ: قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ، فَقَالَ: انْتَظِرِ الْغَدَاءَ يَا أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، فَقَالَ: تَعَالَ ادْنُ مِنِّي حَتَّى أُخْبِرَكَ عَنِ الْمُسَافِرِ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَضَعَ عَنْهُ الصِّيَامَ، وَنِصْفَ الصَّلَاةِ .
Urdu Translation
میں ایک سفر سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس پہنچا، آپ نے فرمایا :اے ابوامیہ! ( بیٹھو ) صبح کے کھانے کا انتظار کر لو، میں نے عرض کیا: میں روزے سے ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آؤ میرے قریب آ جاؤ، میں تمہیں مسافر سے متعلق بتاتا ہوں، اللہ عزوجل نے اس سے روزے معاف کر دیا ہے اور آدھی نماز بھی ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
I came to the Messenger of Allah from a journey and he said: 'Stay and have a meal to break the fast, O Abu Umayyah.' I said: 'I am fasting.' He said: 'Come close to me and I will tell you about the traveler. Allah, the mighty and sublime, has waived fasting and half of the prayer for him. '
