ہم سے محمد بن سلمہ نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے ابن وہب نے معاویہ بن صالح کی سند سے، بحیر بن سعد سے، خالد بن معد ان کی سند سے اور کثیر بن مرہ کی سند سے, عقبہ بن عامر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: الْجَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْجَاهِرِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، وَالْمُسِرُّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْمُسِرِّ بِالصَّدَقَةِ .
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :بلند آواز سے قرآن پڑھنے والا اعلانیہ صدقہ کرنے والے کی طرح ہے، اور دھیرے سے قرآن پڑھنے والا چھپا کر صدقہ دینے والے کی طرح ہے۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: The one who recites the Qur'an loudly is like one who gives charity openly, and the one who recites the Qur'an quietly is like one who gives charity in secret.
