ہم سے قتیبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہم سے لیث نے جعفر بن ربیعہ کی سند سے، بکر بن سوادۃ کی سند سے، مسلم بن مخشی کی سند سے، ابن الفراسی کی سند سے بیان کیا, فراسی رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مَخْشِيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْفِرَاسِيِّ، أَنَّ الْفِرَاسِيّ، قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَسْأَلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَإِنْ كُنْتَ سَائِلًا لَابُدَّ فَاسْأَلِ الصَّالِحِينَ .
Urdu Translation
انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا :اللہ کے رسول! میں مانگوں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: نہیں، اور اگر تمہیں مانگنا ضروری ہو تو نیکو کاروں سے مانگو۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
Al-Firasi said to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم : Shall I ask people (for help), O Messenger of Allah? He said: No, but if you have no alternative but to ask, then ask the righteous.
