عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ

أَخْبَرَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ. ح وأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حَجَّاجًا، يَقُولُ: قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ: عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ نُكِحَتْ عَلَى صَدَاقٍ، أَوْ حِبَاءٍ، أَوْ عِدَةٍ قَبْلَ عِصْمَةِ النِّكَاحِ فَهُوَ لَهَا، وَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ عِصْمَةِ النِّكَاحِ فَهُوَ لِمَنْ أُعْطَاهُ، وَأَحَقُّ مَا أُكْرِمَ عَلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ ابْنَتُهُ أَوْ أُخْتُهُ ، اللَّفْظُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ.
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Amr: The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whatever is given as a dowry, or gift or is promised her before the marriage belongs to her. Whatever is given after the marriage belongs to the one to whom it was given. And the most deserving for which a (man) is to be honored is (when marrying off) his daughter or sister.' This is the wording of 'Abdullah (one of the narrators).
Urdu Translation
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جس عورت سے نکاح مہر پر کیا گیا ہو یا ( مہر کے علاوہ ) اسے عطیہ دیا گیا ہو یا نکاح سے پہلے عورت کو کسی چیز کے دینے کا وعدہ کیا گیا ہو تو یہ سب چیزیں عورت کا حق ہوں گی ( اور وہ پائے گی ) ۔ اور جو چیزیں نکاح منعقد ہو جانے کے بعد ہوں گی تو وہ جسے دے گا چیز اس کی ہو گی۔ اور آدمی اپنی بیٹی اور بہن کے سبب عزت و اکرام کا مستحق ہے“، ( حدیث کے ) الفاظ ( راوی حدیث ) عبداللہ بن محمد بن تمیم کے ہیں۔

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: حَضَرْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جَنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَرِفَ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: هَذِهِ مَيْمُونَةُ إِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ جَنَازَتَهَا فَلَا تُزَعْزِعُوهَا وَلَا تُزَلْزِلُوهَا، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ مَعَهُ تِسْعُ نِسْوَةٍ فَكَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ، وَوَاحِدَةٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَقْسِمُ لَهَا .
We attended the funeral of Maimunah رضی اللہ عنہا , the wife of the Prophet, with Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما in Sarif. Ibn 'Abbas رضی اللہ عنہا said: 'This is Maimunah رضی اللہ عنہا ; when you lift up her bier, do not rock it nor shake it. The Messenger of Allah had nine wives and he used to give a share of his time to eight of them and not to one.'
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas رضی الله عنہما said:
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعِنْدَهُ تِسْعُ نِسْوَةٍ يُصِيبُهُنَّ، إِلَّا سَوْدَةَ، فَإِنَّهَا وَهَبَتْ يَوْمَهَا وَلَيْلَتَهَا لِعَائِشَةَ .
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ died he had nine wives; he used to be intimate with all of them except one, who had given her day and night to 'Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا .
Anas رضی الله عنہ narrated that:
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُمْ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَطُوفُ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْوَاحِدَةِ، وَلَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ تِسْعُ نِسْوَةٍ .
The Prophet ﷺ used to go around to his wives in a single night, and at that time he had nine wives.
It was narrated that 'Aishah رضی الله عنہا said:
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ الْمُخَرَّمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ أَغَارُ عَلَى اللَّاتِي وَهَبْنَ أَنْفُسَهُنَّ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَقُولُ: أَوَتَهَبَ الْحُرَّةُ نَفْسَهَا، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: تُرْجِي مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْهُنَّ وَتُؤْوِي إِلَيْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ[ سورة الأحزاب آية 51]، قُلْتُ: وَاللَّهِ مَا أَرَى رَبَّكَ إِلَّا يُسَارِعُ لَكَ فِي هَوَاكَ .
I used to feel jealous of those (women) who offered themselves (in marriage) to the Prophet ﷺ and I said: 'Would a free woman offer herself?' Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed: 'You can postpone whom you will of them, and you may receive whom you will.' I said: 'By Allah, I see that your Lord is quick to respond to your wishes.'
