Narrated by It was narrated from Salman bin 'Amir Ad-Dabbi رضی اللہ عنہ that:
ہمیں محمد بن المثنیٰ نے خبر دی، کہا: ہمیں عفان نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہمیں حماد بن سلمہ نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہمیں ایوب، حبیب، یونس اور قتادہ نے محمد بن سیرین سے بیان کیا, سلمان بن عامر ضبی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، وَحَبِيبٌ، وَيُونُسُ، وَقَتَادَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الضَّبِّيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: فِي الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَةٌ فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الْأَذَى .
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :لڑکے کی پیدائش پر ۱؎ اس کا عقیقہ ہے، تو اس کی جانب سے خون بہاؤ اور اس سے تکلیف دہ چیز کو دور کرو ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: For a boy there should be an 'Aqiqah, so shed blood for him, and remove the harm from him.
