Narrated by It was narrated from Al-Laith from Nafi from Ibn 'Umar رضی اللہ عنہما who said:

ہمیں قتیبہ نے خبر دی، کہا: ہم سے لیث نے نافع سے روایت کی ہے, عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ

النص العربي

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ نَافِعٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ حَتَّى يَفْتَرِقَا،‏‏‏‏ أَوْ يَكُونَ بَيْعَ خِيَارٍ ،‏‏‏‏ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ نَافِعٌ:‏‏‏‏ أَوْ يَقُولَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ اخْتَرْ .

Urdu Translation

اردو

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :بیع کرنے والے دونوں اختیار کے ساتھ رہتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ وہ الگ تھلگ ہو جائیں، یا بیع خیار ( اختیاری بیع ) کے ساتھ ہو۔ کبھی کبھی نافع نے یوں کہا: أو يقول أحدهما للآخر اختر یا یہ کہ ان میں سے ایک دوسرے سے کہے: بیع بالخیار کرو۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The two parties to a transaction both have the choice so long as they have not separated or they have chosen to conclude the transaction.' Or perhaps Nafi said: Or one of them has said to the other: 'Decide!
