ہم سے عمرو بن علی نے بیان کیا، کہا: ہمیں یزید نے خبر دی، کہا: ہم سے یونس نے حمید بن ہلال سے اور عبداللہ بن صامت کی سند سے, ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قال: أَنْبَأَنَا يَزِيدُ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قال: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ قَائِمًا يُصَلِّي فَإِنَّهُ يَسْتُرُهُ إِذَا كَانَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلُ آخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلُ آخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ فَإِنَّهُ يَقْطَعُ صَلَاتَهُ الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ . قُلْتُ: مَا بَالُ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْأَصْفَرِ مِنَ الْأَحْمَرِ ؟ فَقَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي، فَقَالَ: الْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ شَيْطَانٌ .
English Translation
The messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: When anyone of you stands to pray, then he is screened if he has in front of him something as high as the back of a camel saddle. If he does not have something as high as the back of a camel saddle in front of him, then his prayer is nullified by a woman, a donkey or a black dog. I (one of the narrators) said: What is the difference between a black dog, a yellow one and a red one? He said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) just like you and he said: The black dog is a shaitan.
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کوئی کھڑا ہو کر نماز پڑھ رہا ہو تو جب اس کے سامنے کجاوے کی پچھلی لکڑی جیسی کوئی چیز ہو تو وہ اس کے لیے سترہ ہو جائے گی، اور اگر کجاوہ کی پچھلی لکڑی کی طرح کوئی چیز نہ ہو تو عورت، گدھا اور کالا کتا اس کی نماز باطل کر دے گا ۔ عبداللہ بن صامت کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: پیلے اور لال رنگ کے مقابلہ میں کالے ( کتے ) کی کیا خصوصیت ہے؟ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا: جس طرح آپ نے مجھ سے پوچھا ہے میں نے بھی یہی بات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھی تھی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کالا کتا شیطان ہے ۔

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حِمَارٍ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ وَالْقِبْلَةُ خَلْفَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ: لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا تَابَعَ عَمْرَو بْنَ يَحْيَى عَلَى قَوْلِهِ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حِمَارٍ، وَحَدِيثُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ الصَّوَابُ، مَوْقُوفٌ وَاللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.
He saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) praying on a donkey while he was riding, praying toward Khaibar with the Qiblah behind him. Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: We do not know of anyone who reported anything to support what 'Amr bin Yahya said about praying on a donkey. As for the Hadith of Yahya bin Sa'eed from Anas, what is correct is that it is Mawquf. [1] And Allah knows best. [1] That is a saying or action of a Companion of the Prophet (ﷺ)
Narrated Al Bara bin Azib: Al Bara bin Azib رضی اللہ عنہم said:
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قال: قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَصَلَّى نَحْوَ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ سِتَّةَ عَشَرَ شَهْرًا، ثُمَّ وُجِّهَ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ، فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ قَدْ كَانَ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ: أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ وُجِّهَ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ، فَانْحَرَفُوا إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ .
The messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah and prayed toward Bait-al-Maqdis for sixteen months, then he was commanded to pray toward the Ka'bah. A man who had prayed with the prophet (ﷺ)passed by some of the Ansar and said: I bear witness that the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has been commanded to face toward the Ka'bah. So they turned to face the Ka'bah .
It was narrated that Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہم said:
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قال: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ فِي السَّفَرِ حَيْثُمَا تَوَجَّهَتْ . قَالَ مَالِكٌ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ: وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ.
The messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray atop his mount while travelling, facing whatever direction it was facing. (One of the narrators) Malik said: Abdullah bin Dinar said: and Ibn Umar رضی اللہ عنہم used to do likewise .
It was narrated that Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہم said:
أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قال: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قال: أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قال: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَيِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهُ بِهِ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لَا يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ .
The messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to pray atop his mount while traveling, facing whatever direction it was facing, and he would pray witr atop it, but he did not pray the prescribed prayers atop it .
