وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا أَيْمَـٰنَكُمْ دَخَلًۢا بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمٌۢ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُوا ٱلسُّوٓءَ بِمَا صَدَدتُّمْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَلَكُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
اور اپنی قسموں کو آپس میں اس بات کا ذریعہ نہ بناؤ کہ (لوگوں کے) قدم جم چکنے کے بعد لڑ کھڑا جائیں اور اس وجہ سے کہ تم نے لوگوں کو خدا کے رستے سے روکا تم کو عقوبت کا مزہ چکھنا پڑے۔ اور بڑا سخت عذاب ملے
And do not take your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, lest a foot slip after it was [once] firm, and you would taste evil [in this world] for what [people] you diverted from the way of Allāh,1 and you would have [in the Hereafter] a great punishment.
