Narrated by Marwan al-Asfar said:
ہم سے محمد بن یحییٰ بن فارس نے بیان کیا، ہم سے صفوان بن عیسیٰ نے حسن بن ذکوان کی سند سے بیان کیا, مروان اصفر کہتے ہیں
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الأَصْفَرِ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ، ثُمَّ جَلَسَ يَبُولُ إِلَيْهَا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَلَيْسَ قَدْ نُهِيَ عَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى، إِنَّمَا نُهِيَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فِي الْفَضَاءِ، فَإِذَا كَانَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ شَيْءٌ يَسْتُرُكَ، فَلَا بَأْسَ .
Urdu Translation
میں نے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو دیکھا، انہوں نے قبلہ کی طرف اپنی سواری بٹھائی پھر بیٹھ کر اسی کی طرف رخ کر کے پیشاب کرنے لگے، میں نے پوچھا :ابوعبدالرحمٰن! ( عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کی کنیت ہے ) کیا اس سے منع نہیں کیا گیا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے جواب دیا: کیوں نہیں، اس سے صرف میدان میں روکا گیا ہے لیکن جب تمہارے اور قبلہ کے بیچ میں کوئی ایسی چیز ہو جو تمہارے لیے آڑ ہو تو کوئی حرج نہیں ۱؎۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
I saw Ibn Umar make his camel kneel down facing the qiblah, then he sat down urinating in its direction. So I said: Abu Abdur Rahman, has this not been forbidden? He replied: Why not, that was forbidden only in open country; but when there is something between you and the qiblah that conceals you, then there is no harm.
