Narrated by: Abdullah bin Jafar رضی اللہ عنہما said:
ہم سے ابوصالح محبوب بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابو اسحاق الفزاری نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے عاصم بن سلیمان کی سند سے، انہوں نے مو رق کی سند سے، یعنی العجلی، عبداللہ بن جعفر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاق الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُوَرِّقٍ يَعْنِي الْعِجْلِيَّ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ، اسْتُقْبِلَ بِنَا فَأَيُّنَا اسْتُقْبِلَ أَوَّلًا جَعَلَهُ أَمَامَهُ فَاسْتُقْبِلَ بِي فَحَمَلَنِي أَمَامَهُ، ثُمَّ اسْتُقْبِلَ بِحَسَنٍ أَوْ حُسَيْنٍ، فَجَعَلَهُ خَلْفَهُ فَدَخَلْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ وَإِنَّا لَكَذَلِكَ .
English Translation
“When the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم arrived after a journey, we were taken for his reception. Any of us who met him first he lifted him in front of him. As I was the first to meet him, he lifted me in front of him. Then Hasan or Hussain was brought to him and he set him behind him. We the entered Madinah and we (were) riding so (three on one beast). ”
Urdu Translation
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب سفر سے آتے تو ہم لوگ آپ کے استقبال کے لیے جاتے، جو ہم میں سے پہلے پہنچتا اس کو آپ آگے بٹھا لیتے، چنانچہ ( ایک بار ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے اپنے سامنے پایا تو مجھے اپنے آگے بٹھا لیا، پھر حسن یا حسین پہنچے تو انہیں اپنے پیچھے بٹھا لیا، پھر ہم مدینہ میں اسی طرح ( سواری پر ) بیٹھے ہوئے داخل ہوئے۔

Abu Saeed Al Khudri رضی اللہ عنہ said:
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ: أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْهِجْرَةِ، فَقَالَ: وَيْحَكَ إِنَّ شَأْنَ الْهِجْرَةِ شَدِيدٌ فَهَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ تُؤَدِّي صَدَقَتَهَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَاعْمَلْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبِحَارِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَتِرَكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ شَيْئًا .
“A Bedouin asked the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم about emigration. He replied “Woe to you! The matter of emigration is severe. Have you a Camel? He said, Yes. He asked “Do you pay its zakat? He said, Yes. He said, Then work (anywhere) beyond the seas. Allah will not reduce anything from (the reward of) your work.
Miqdan bin Shuraih reported on the authority of his father:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عنها عَنِ الْبَدَاوَةِ، فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْدُو إِلَى هَذِهِ التِّلَاعِ وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ الْبَدَاوَةَ مَرَّةً فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ نَاقَةً مُحَرَّمَةً مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ لِي: يَا عَائِشَةُ ارْفُقِي فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا زَانَهُ وَلَا نُزِعَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا شَانَهُ .
I asked Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا about settling in the desert (to worship Allah in loneliness). She said “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم would go out (from Madina) to these torrential streams. Once he intended to go out to the desert (for worshipping Allaah). He sent me a She-Camel from the Camels of sadaqah that was not used as a mount. He said to me “Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا be lenient, for leniency makes a thing decorated and when it is removed from a thing it makes it defective.
Narrated Muawiyah رضی اللہ عنہ :
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الرَّازِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، عَنْ حَرِيزِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: لَا تَنْقَطِعُ الْهِجْرَةُ حَتَّى تَنْقَطِعَ التَّوْبَةُ، وَلَا تَنْقَطِعُ التَّوْبَةُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا .
I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: Migration will not end until repentance ends, and repentance will not end until the sun rises in the west.
Ibn Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما reported:
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ لَا هِجْرَةَ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا .
Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying on the day of the conquest of Makkah: There is no emigration (after the conquest of Makkah, but only Jihad (striving in the path of Allah) and some intention. So when you are summoned to go forth (for Jihad), go forth.
