ہم سے ہناد بن سری نے ابو بکر سے، عاصم کی سند سے، مصعب بن سعد سے، اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے کہا

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: جِئْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ بِسَيْفٍ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ شَفَى صَدْرِي الْيَوْمَ مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ فَهَبْ لِي هَذَا السَّيْفَ، قَالَ: إِنَّ هَذَا السَّيْفَ لَيْسَ لِي وَلَا لَكَ، فَذَهَبْتُ وَأَنَا أَقُولُ يُعْطَاهُ الْيَوْمَ مَنْ لَمْ يُبْلِ بَلَائِي فَبَيْنَا أَنَا إِذْ جَاءَنِي الرَّسُولُ فَقَالَ: أَجِبْ فَظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ نَزَلَ فِيَّ شَيْءٌ بِكَلَامِي فَجِئْتُ، فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّكَ سَأَلْتَنِي هَذَا السَّيْفَ وَلَيْسَ هُوَ لِي وَلَا لَكَ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ جَعَلَهُ لِي فَهُوَ لَكَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأَنْفَالِ قُلِ الأَنْفَالُ لِلَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ سورة الأنفال آية 1 إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد: قِرَاءَةُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ يَسْأَلُونَكَ النَّفْلَ.
English Translation
“I brought a sword to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم on the day of the Badr and I said (to him) Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, Allah has healed up my breast from the enemy today, so give me this sword. He said “This sword is neither mine nor yours. I then went away saying “today this will be given to a man who has not been put to trial like me. Meanwhile a messenger and came to me and said “Respond, I thought something was revealed about me owing to my speech. I came and the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said to me “You asked me for this sword, but this was neither mine nor yours. Now Allah has given it to me, hence it is yours. He then recited “they ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say “ (Such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger. Abu Dawud said “According to the reading of the Quran of Ibn Masud رضی اللہ عنہ the verse goes. They ask thee concerning (things taken as ) spoils of war.
Urdu Translation
میں غزوہ بدر کے دن نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک تلوار لے کر آیا اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! آج اللہ نے میرے سینے کو دشمنوں سے شفاء دی، لہٰذا آپ مجھے یہ تلوار دے دیجئیے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ تلوار نہ تو میری ہے نہ تمہاری یہ سن کر میں چلا اور کہتا جاتا تھا: یہ تلوار آج ایسے شخص کو ملے گی جس نے مجھ جیسا کارنامہ انجام نہیں دیا ہے، اسی دوران مجھے قاصد بلانے کے لیے آیا، اور کہا چلو، میں نے سوچا شاید میرے اس بات کے کہنے کی وجہ سے میرے سلسلے میں کچھ وحی نازل ہوئی ہے، چنانچہ میں آیا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: تم نے یہ تلوار مانگی جب کہ یہ تلوار نہ تو میری ہے نہ تمہاری، اب اسے اللہ نے مجھے عطا کر دیا ہے، لہٰذا ( اب ) یہ تمہاری ہے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ آیت کریمہ پوری پڑھی«يسألونك عن الأنفال قل الأنفال لله والرسول» ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی قرأت «يسألونك عن النفل» ہے۔

Abu Saeed Al Khudri رضی اللہ عنہ said:
حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ: أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْهِجْرَةِ، فَقَالَ: وَيْحَكَ إِنَّ شَأْنَ الْهِجْرَةِ شَدِيدٌ فَهَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ تُؤَدِّي صَدَقَتَهَا ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَاعْمَلْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْبِحَارِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَنْ يَتِرَكَ مِنْ عَمَلِكَ شَيْئًا .
“A Bedouin asked the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم about emigration. He replied “Woe to you! The matter of emigration is severe. Have you a Camel? He said, Yes. He asked “Do you pay its zakat? He said, Yes. He said, Then work (anywhere) beyond the seas. Allah will not reduce anything from (the reward of) your work.
Miqdan bin Shuraih reported on the authority of his father:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عنها عَنِ الْبَدَاوَةِ، فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْدُو إِلَى هَذِهِ التِّلَاعِ وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ الْبَدَاوَةَ مَرَّةً فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَيَّ نَاقَةً مُحَرَّمَةً مِنْ إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ لِي: يَا عَائِشَةُ ارْفُقِي فَإِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا زَانَهُ وَلَا نُزِعَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا شَانَهُ .
I asked Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا about settling in the desert (to worship Allah in loneliness). She said “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم would go out (from Madina) to these torrential streams. Once he intended to go out to the desert (for worshipping Allaah). He sent me a She-Camel from the Camels of sadaqah that was not used as a mount. He said to me “Aishah رضی اللہ عنہا be lenient, for leniency makes a thing decorated and when it is removed from a thing it makes it defective.
Narrated Muawiyah رضی اللہ عنہ :
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى الرَّازِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، عَنْ حَرِيزِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: لَا تَنْقَطِعُ الْهِجْرَةُ حَتَّى تَنْقَطِعَ التَّوْبَةُ، وَلَا تَنْقَطِعُ التَّوْبَةُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا .
I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم say: Migration will not end until repentance ends, and repentance will not end until the sun rises in the west.
Ibn Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما reported:
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ لَا هِجْرَةَ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ وَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا .
Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as saying on the day of the conquest of Makkah: There is no emigration (after the conquest of Makkah, but only Jihad (striving in the path of Allah) and some intention. So when you are summoned to go forth (for Jihad), go forth.
