ہم سے مومل بن ایہب نے بیان کیا، ہم سے عبداللہ بن ولید العدنی نے بیان کیا، ہم سے القاسم بن معن نے بیان کیا، ہم سے مسعودی نے بیان کیا، ابو کثیر کی سند سے, ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ

حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِهَابٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْعَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَعْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَقُولَ عِنْدَ أَذَانِ الْمَغْرِبِ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذَا إِقْبَالُ لَيْلِكَ وَإِدْبَارُ نَهَارِكَ وَأَصْوَاتُ دُعَاتِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي.
Urdu Translation
مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سکھایا کہ میں مغرب کی اذان کے وقت کہوں :اللهم إن هذا إقبال ليلك وإدبار نهارك وأصوات دعاتك فاغفر لي اے اللہ! یہ تیری رات کی آمد اور تیرے دن کی رخصت کا وقت ہے، اور تیری طرف بلانے والوں کی آوازیں ہیں تو تو میری مغفرت فرما ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم taught me to say when the adhan for the sunset prayer was called; O Allah, this is the time when Thy night comes on, Thy day retires, and the voices of Thy summoners are heard, so forgive me.
