ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، ہم سے حماد نے بیان کیا، انہیں سعید الجریری نے خبر دی، وہ ابو العلا کی سند سے، مطرف بن عبداللہ نے
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَقَالَ مُوسَى فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ: إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، اجْعَلْنِي إِمَامَ قَوْمِي، قَالَ: أَنْتَ إِمَامُهُمْ وَاقْتَدِ بِأَضْعَفِهِمْ وَاتَّخِذْ مُؤَذِّنًا لَا يَأْخُذُ عَلَى أَذَانِهِ أَجْرًا.
Urdu Translation
عثمان بن ابی العاص رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا :اے اللہ کے رسول! آپ مجھے میری قوم کا امام مقرر فرما دیجئیے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم ان کے امام ہو تو تم ان کے کمزور ترین لوگوں کی رعایت کرنا، اور ایسا مؤذن مقرر کرنا جو اذان پر اجرت نہ لے ۔ عثمان بن ابی العاص رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مجھے نماز میں قبیلہ کا امام بنا دیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم ان کے سردار ہو، لیکن تم اس کی پیروی کرو جو ان میں سب سے کمزور ہے، اور ایسے مؤذن کو مقرر کرو جو اذان کی ذمہ داری نہ دے۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
'Uthman Ibn Abul As رضی اللہ عنہ said: "O Messenger of Allah! Make me the Imam appoint me the leader of the tribe in prayer. He said: You are their leader, but you should follow on who is the weakest of them: and appoint a muadhdhin who does not charge for the calling of adhan.
