Narrated by It was narrated from Ubayy bin Ka’b رضی اللہ عنہ that:
ہم سے محمد بن یحییٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے عبدالرحمٰن بن مہدی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے حماد بن سلمہ سے، ثابت کی سند سے، ابو رافع کی سند سے, ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، فَسَافَرَ عَامًا، فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا .
Urdu Translation
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رمضان کے آخری عشرے ( دہے ) میں اعتکاف کیا کرتے تھے، ایک سال آپ نے سفر کیا ( تو اعتکاف نہ کر سکے ) جب دوسرا سال ہوا تو آپ نے بیس دن کا اعتکاف کیا۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to spend the last ten days of Ramadan in I’tikaf. One year he was traveling, so the following year he spent twenty days in I’tikaf.
