Narrated by It was narrated that 'Uqbah bin 'Amir رضی اللہ عنہ said:
ہم سے محمد بن بشار نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے وہب بن جریر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے میرے والد نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ میں نے یحییٰ بن ایوب کو بیان کرتے ہوئے سنا، وہ یزید بن ابی حبیب سے، وہ عبدالرحمٰن بن شماسہ سے, عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شُمَاسَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ بَاعَ مِنْ أَخِيهِ بَيْعًا فِيهِ عَيْبٌ إِلَّا بَيَّنَهُ لَهُ .
Urdu Translation
میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا :مسلمان مسلمان کا بھائی ہے، کسی مسلمان کے لیے جائز نہیں کہ وہ اپنے بھائی کے ہاتھ کوئی ایسی چیز بیچے جس میں عیب ہو، مگر یہ کہ وہ اس کو اس سے بیان کر دے ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'The Muslim is the brother of another Muslim, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to sell his brother goods in which there is a defect, without pointing that out to him. '
