Narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud رضی اللہ عنہ said:
ہم سے عثمان بن ابی شیبہ اور عمرو بن رافع نے بیان کیا، ہم سے جریر نے منصور کی سند سے، ابراہیم کی سند سے، عبیدہ سلمانی سے، انہوں نے کہا:عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَبْدُرُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ .
Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا :کون سے لوگ بہتر ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میرے زمانہ والے، پھر جو لوگ ان سے نزدیک ہوں، پھر وہ جو ان سے نزدیک ہوں، پھر ایسے لوگ پیدا ہوں گے جن کی گواہی ان کی قسم سے اور قسم گواہی سے سبقت کر جائے گی ۔
English Translation
Meaning of the narration
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked, 'Which of the people are best?' He said: 'My generation, then those that follow them, then those that follow them. Then there will come people whose testimony precedes their oath and whose oath precedes their testimony.”
