مجھ سے احمد بن سعید نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے بشر بن عمر نے بیان کیا، ان سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے سلیمان نے، ان سے ابووائل نے کہ

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ هَيْتَ لَكَ قَالَ وَإِنَّمَا نَقْرَؤُهَا كَمَا عُلِّمْنَاهَا ‏{‏مَثْوَاهُ‏}‏ مُقَامُهُ ‏{‏أَلْفَيَا‏}‏ وَجَدَا ‏{‏أَلْفَوْا آبَاءَهُمْ‏}‏ ‏{‏أَلْفَيْنَا‏}‏ وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ‏{‏بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ‏}‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے هيت لك پڑھا اور کہا کہ جس طرح ہمیں یہ لفظ سکھایا گیا ہے۔ اسی طرح ہم پڑھتے ہیں۔ مثواه‏ یعنی اس کا ٹھکانا، درجہ۔ ألفيا‏ یعنی پایا اسی سے ہے۔ ألفوا آباءهم‏ اور ألفينا‏ ( دوسری آیتوں میں ) اور ابن مسعود سے ( سورۃ الصافات ) میں بل عجبت ويسخرون‏ منقول ہے۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

`Abdullah bin Mas`ud رضی اللہ عنہ recited "Haita laka (Come you)," and added, "We recite it as we were taught it."مثواه‏'': his abode. ''ألفيا‏'': found. ''ألفوا آباءهم'' and ''ألفينا‏'' is from it. Hadrat Ibn-e-Masoud reads ''بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ'' .
