Narrated by Narrated `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ :

ہم سے احمد بن یونس بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ابوبکر نے بیان کیا، ان سے حصین نے، ان سے عمرو بن میمون نے بیان کیا کہ عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ نے ( زخمی ہونے کے بعد انتقال سے پہلے ) فرمایا تھا

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ رضى الله عنه أُوصِي الْخَلِيفَةَ بِالْمُهَاجِرِينَ الأَوَّلِينَ أَنْ يَعْرِفَ لَهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ، وَأُوصِي الْخَلِيفَةَ بِالأَنْصَارِ الَّذِينَ تَبَوَّءُوا الدَّارَ وَالإِيمَانَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يُهَاجِرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَقْبَلَ مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَيَعْفُوَ عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ‏.‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

میں اپنے بعد ہونے والے خلیفہ کو مہاجرین اولین کے بارے میں وصیت کرتا ہوں کہ وہ ان کا حق پہچانے اور میں اپنے بعد ہونے والے خلیفہ کو انصار کے بارے میں وصیت کرتا ہوں جو دارالسلام اور ایمان میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ہجرت سے پہلے ہی سے قرار پکڑے ہوئے ہیں یہ کہ ان میں جو نیکوکار ہیں ان کی عزت کرے اور ان کے غلط کاروں سے درگزر کرے۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

I recommend that my successor should take care of and secure the rights of the early emigrants; and I also advise my successor to be kind to the Ansar who had homes (in Medina) and had adopted the Faith, before the Prophet (ﷺ) migrated to them, and to accept the good from their good ones and excuse their wrong doers.
