ہم سے یعقوب بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ہشیم نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوالبشر نے بیان کیا، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے بیان کیا

النص العربي

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْكَوْثَرِ هُوَ الْخَيْرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو بِشْرٍ قُلْتُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ نَهَرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ‏.‏ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ النَّهَرُ الَّذِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ‏.‏

Urdu Translation

اردو

اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کوثر کے متعلق کہ وہ خیر کثیر ہے جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دی ہے۔ ابوبشر نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے سعید بن جبیر سے عرض کی، لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ اس سے جنت کی ایک نہر مراد ہے؟ سعید نے کہا کہ جنت کی نہر بھی اس خیر کثیر میں سے ایک ہے جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دی ہے۔

English Translation

Meaning of the narration

Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما said about Al-Kauthar. "That is the good which Allah has bestowed upon His Apostle." I said to Sa`id bin Jubair. "But the people claim that it is a river in Paradise." Sa`id said, "The river in Paradise is part of the good which Allah has bestowed on His Apostle."
